Double-checking Order of Operations using Substitution

by Andrew Dobbie on Nov 01, 2012

This is an example showing how you can create a variable for a given value in an equation to help you prove that your BEDMAS solution is accurate. Please remember that you could round the values in the original question to solve the problem in a different way (this will help you prove your BEDMAS solution makes sense too if your rounded solution is close to your original solution).
