Chapter 9 Part V --Tariffs

Shows international trade for an importing nation with a tariff. A tariff "protects" producers by increasing their surplus while decreasing consumer surplus. Total surplus (including government revenue) decreases, as this tax, like all taxes, creates deadweight loss.
