Chapter 7 Part VI -- The Quantity Where Surplus is Maximized

We use the idea of demand as value to consumers and supply as costs to producers to show that surplus grows as production increases until we reach the market equilibrium, and more than the equilibrium quantity decreases surplus -- therefore, surplus is maximized at the market equilibrium.
