Mr. Fournier started his teaching career in the fall of 2002. He has been teaching at Douglass School since he began. His journey started at Herndon High School in Herndon, Va. He played football, soccer, and wrestled during his four years. Mr. Fournier graduated in 1993. Mr. Fournier then went on to graduate from Shepherd University, which is located in Shepherdstown, West Virginia, in 1998 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics and a minor in Secondary Education. While at Shepherd University, he received state honors all four years he played varsity soccer for the school, was an active member of the student government association SGA, and president of the inter-fraternity council IFC. Mr. Fournier assists in running the chess club at Douglass School and is currently certified to mentor students online for mathematics through George Mason University and Loudoun County Public Schools. Currently, he is working on his master's degree in Curriculum and Instruction.
